Postdoctoral Fellows:

James Naifeh, Ph.D.
Dr. Naifeh received his undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Colorado at Boulder and his Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of South Dakota. He completed his residency at the VA Maryland Health Care System/University of Maryland-Baltimore Psychology Internship Consortium. Dr. Naifeh is currently a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, with a joint appointment at the Jackson VA Medical Center. His research interests include the assessment of psychological trauma and posttraumatic stress disorder, as well as problems in emotion regulation among traumatized individuals. His work with Dr. Kevin Del Ben focuses on the relation between posttraumatic stress and immune system functioning in civilian and military populations.

Kristine Rork, Ph.D.
Dr. Rork recently received her Ph.D. in clinical psychology (child specialization) from West Virginia University, and completed her residency at the Medical University of South Carolina. She is currently a post-doctoral fellow at UMC working with Drs. Laura Stoppelbein and David Elkin. Kristine's research interests include the impact of family environment and violence exposure on child outcome, dissemination and evaluation of empirically-supported treatments in the community and the child welfare system, evaluation of behavioral parent training curricula (particularly Parent-Child Interaction Therapy), and examination of parenting differences between foster and biological parents of young children.
